Collette Burns
I have been working for Yesability since 2021, I started as a PBS Practitioner and have since moved over to Occupational Therapy. I qualified as an Occupational Therapist from Edith Cowan in 2017. I have gained extensive experience over the last 8 years working with people with physical and intellectual disabilities, complex medical and mental health issues and working with the Department of Communities and Justice Systems.
I have worked in private and public practices working with children, teens and adults with autism, depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, schizophrenia, paranoia, anger management and self-regulation issues, addiction to drugs and alcohol, and complex family situations and support teams.
I enjoy working with complex clients with mental health, trauma and drug and alcohol-related issues.
I am passionate about inspiring people to reach their full potential; I want to empower people so that they can enhance the quality of their own life and I enjoy seeing people thrive in their home and community environments.
Moving forward I want to continue my professional development in mental health and drug and alcohol education and research.
