Team Lead Positive Behaviour Support

About the role

As the Team Lead Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at Yesability, you will be responsible for leading a team of experienced behaviour support practitioners to deliver high-quality, person-centred service, that empowers people living with difference.

Metropolitan position is based from Osborne park office.

Regional and remote location is flexible.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage, coordinate and supervise a team of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery to clients

     

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of client-specific behaviour support plans that promote positive behaviours and enhance quality of life

     

  • Provide expert guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members to build their skills and capabilities

     

  • Involvement in the leadership and Governance decisions related to the Positive behaviour support sector.

     

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including allied health professionals, to develop and review client support strategies

     

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards

     

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Yesability’s behaviour support services

     

  • Support a small case load in order to remain ‘in touch’ with the service and requirements

     

  • Regional and remote position may require travel within Western Australia to support these communities and practitioners living in these areas.

What we’re looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy or a related allied health discipline

     

  • Extensive experience (minimum 2 years) in providing positive behaviour support to people with complex needs

     

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

     

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams

     

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement practical behaviour support strategies

     

  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards governing positive behaviour support

     

  • Registered with NDIS as a PBS practitioner as proficient level or above
