Rianon
Team Lead | Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
Rianon Wright is a PBS Team Leader and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner at YesAbility, bringing experience across psychosocial disability, mental health, alcohol and other drug (AOD) services, forensic settings, and other complex presentations. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology, a Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs and Mental Health, and a Diploma of Counselling, and is currently completing postgraduate study with the goal of becoming a Registered Psychologist.
Rianon supports people with complex and intersecting needs, including mental health concerns, substance use, forensic histories, and behaviours of concern. Her practice is grounded in understanding the broader factors that influence behaviour (including trauma, environment, communication, relationships, and social context) and translating this into practical, strengths-based supports.
Her experience includes conducting functional assessments and behavioural formulation, developing evidence-based behaviour support strategies, and working closely with participants, families, support teams, and other professionals to support consistent implementation. Rianon is particularly focused on building strategies that can be used in everyday environments and that promote safety, autonomy, dignity, and quality of life.
As a Team Leader, Rianon provides clinical guidance and supervision to PBS practitioners, with a focus on developing clinical reasoning, quality documentation, and effective implementation of behaviour support strategies. She takes a person-centred, trauma-informed, least-restrictive approach, and works to support individuals and their networks to build sustainable strategies that increase participation, independence, and wellbeing.
I am a Positive Behaviour Support practitioner with a strong passion for empowering clients and improving their quality of life. I have experience in working with children, neurodivergent individuals, and individuals with psychosocial disabilities. I am committed to supporting clients and their support networks with an empathetic, non-judgemental, ethical, and culturally responsive approach.”
