In Kalgoorlie, YesAbility clinicians partnered with Kin Disability Advocacy to deliver a practical workshop focused on strengthening how Behaviour Support Plans are understood and applied in everyday settings.
Facilitated by YesAbility’s Positive Behaviour Support practitioners, the session supported disability workers to build confidence in using strengths-based, person-centred approaches. Participants explored how Behaviour Support Plans can guide respectful, consistent support, with a focus on dignity, individual needs and understanding behaviour in context.
Through interactive discussion and shared learning, the workshop created an inclusive environment where participants felt supported to ask questions, reflect on practice and learn from each other.
This work reflects YesAbility’s ongoing commitment to building capability in regional communities, ensuring people with disability in Kalgoorlie are supported by skilled, confident workers.
