Supporting regional communities through shared learning in Broome and Fitzroy Crossing

YesAbility continues to invest in regional Western Australia through accessible training and meaningful community engagement.

In Broome and Fitzroy Crossing, YesAbility delivered Community of Practice sessions in partnership with Kin Disability Advocacy, focused on Positive Behaviour Support, understanding behaviour as communication and applying Behaviour Support Plans in practice. These sessions are part of YesAbility’s broader commitment to social and community reinvestment, ensuring knowledge and support reach communities beyond metropolitan areas.

Alongside training, the team connected with local providers and organisations to better understand community needs and explore how to strengthen support across the region. These conversations are key to ensuring services are responsive, collaborative and grounded in local context.

By showing up, listening and working alongside local communities, YesAbility is helping build stronger, more connected support systems across Broome, Fitzroy Crossing and beyond.
